2012 Youth Club of the Year Winner

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) and Appaloosa Youth Association (AYA) would like to congratulate the Wisconsin Appaloosa Youth Club for being awarded the 2012 Youth Club of the Year!

Members of the youth club worked together to make a scrapbook providing a detailed account of the 2012 year. The scrapbook offered a creative depiction of the fun that was had by all club members—from the youngest participating in leadline, to the oldest who have worked years to polish their skills in the show ring, each member plays a vital role in the club.

In 2012, the Wisconsin Appaloosa Youth Club participated in a variety of activities, many of which were geared towards furthering their education in the equine industry. Members worked together to promote their club and the Appaloosa breed at several community events and tack swaps. Funds for the club were raised by selling baked goods.

Throughout 2012 the Wisconsin Appaloosa Youth Club set an inspiring example. Both the ApHC and AYA are pleased to present them with this very prestigious honor.

An award will be presented to the Wisconsin Appaloosa Youth Association during the 2012 Youth Awards Banquet, July 5th in Fort Worth, Texas. They will also receive recognition in Appaloosa Journal. The club scrapbook will be on display at the Appaloosa Museum and then at the 2013 Youth World Championship Appaloosa Show.

The Youth Regional Club of the Year competition was designed to promote a higher level of youth involvement in regional clubs. To compete for this prestigious award, youth regional clubs must submit a scrapbook detailing the various activities they have participated in during the year along with a completed entry form. Entries must be submitted to the ApHC office by March 1st of the following year to be considered.
